Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) and Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) member countries DO NOT require VISAs. All other countries require VISA either before or on arrival. Please check the Zambia Immigration website for more details and online applications. - TRANSPORT AND ARRIVAL INFORMATION
The expected date of arrival for the summit delegates is 22nd August, 2023. Any early arrivals must be communicated in advance and cleared by the summit accommodation committee. Expected departure date is 27th August 2023. Late departures must be communicated and cleared. Please email ( vincent.chileshe@cccz.org)
A. Airport Arrival:
All arrivals should be at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (KKIA), Lusaka. After clearing with the immigration and baggage claim, proceed to the exit gate. Look for a Campus Crusade for Christ (CCC) Banner or Symbol where the Summit Transport Team will receive you and take you to the hotel. Please communicate your itinerary not later than 15th August,2023.
- WHAT TO BRING
- Warm clothing for cold days and nights.
- Cultural/ National Dress code.
- National flag (One Big flag or a smaller one if possible)
- Bible.
- Own medication if on drugs.
- ACCOMMODATION
a. Golden Peacock Hotel: All participants will stay at this hotel unless others. Double rooms for single occupants and twin rooms for sharing occupants.
b. Other Accommodation: For private accommodation arrangements, please communicate in advance.

- LOCAL TRANSPORT
- Transport to and from the airport will be provided.
- Transport to and from the shopping mall, open market and safari will be provided.
- WHEATHER
In August, Lusaka daytime temperatures usually reach 26℃ with no heat and humidity, falling to 11℃ at night. There are normally 10hrs of bright sunshine each day which is 84% of daylight. Please be advised to bring some warm clothing in case of cold. - DRESS CODE

- SUMMIT VENUE INFORMATION
- All meetings will be held at Golden Peacock Hotel main conference hall. Time between 08:00am to 20:00hrs (8pm).
- There will be an Official Opening Meeting on 22nd August at 19:00hrs (7pm).
- PROGRAM OVERVIEW
- There will be praise and worship followed with devotion and prayer every day.
- Tea or snack break, one in the morning and another in the afternoon.
- We will have strategy collaboration workshops every day and bright spots from countries.
- There shall be a missional gaps workshop and other sessions including partnership organizations.
- We shall have an outing time for shopping on 25th August in the afternoon and a celebration night on 26th August.
- TRANSLATION
There will be translation services in French during the sessions. - POWER/ ELECTRICITY
Zambia uses 240 Volts, British Type 3pin plugs. If need be, please bring a converter. All hotel rooms will have a socket. - COMMUNICATION
- Internet will be provided during the program and also in the hotel rooms.
- Mobile phone SIM cards of all sizes with 3G/ 4G internet can easily be purchased at half a dollar. However, there will need for them to be registered. Please communicate in advance if you would need one.
- CURRENCY EXCHANGE
Zambian Kwacha and Ngwee. Exchange rate fluctuates around K20 to US$1.
Major currencies exchanges are US Dollar, British Pound, Euro, South Africa Rand and Botswana Pula. For most countries, we recommend you bring US$.
VISA Card services are available in most ATMs and Super Markets. - SECURITY
- Zambia is generally safe but caution must be taken especially with phones and electronics.
- The hotel provides security at the premises.
- Passports and sensitive items will be required to be taken care of within your personal safety.
- LANGUAGE
The official language is English (British). Bemba and Nyanja are usually spoken within Lusaka. Most Zambians understand and speak English. - FOOD AND WATER
- Breakfast, lunch, dinner and mineral water will be provided during the summit.
- It may not be safe to drink tap water.
- Special dietary needs must be communicated in advance.
- Supermarkets and restaurants are within Eastpark mall Great East 3.4km or Novare Great North Mall 3.4km from Golden Peacock hotel.
- MEDICAL
- All international delegates are encouraged to have personal travel insurance.
- First Aid kit will be available.
- Major Medical cases will be referred to nearby hospitals (Level 1 Hospital 1.1km from hotel, Medical Hospital TEBA 1.8km from hotel)
- Other medical needs will be handled by CCCZ crisis management staff during the summit.
