Every scroll, click, and message is a divine opportunity. Through online campaigns like the one you are about to read, we are witnessing a powerful move of God. People once considered unreached, uninterested, or out of reach are encountering Jesus in deeply personal ways online, in the spaces where they live, think, and search. As you read these stories of transformation from across the continent, may your hearts be stirred. May you see not just what God is doing, but how you can join Him in prayer, partnership, and the digital mission field. Let’s reach Africa together.

Reaching the Unreached Through Facebook Ads and Chatbots

From May 18 to 31, 2025, 14 countries united for a coordinated digital evangelism campaign using Facebook Ads and an interactive chatbot. At the center of the campaign was a powerful video based on Jesus’ encounter with Bartimaeus in the Gospel of Luke. Viewers were invited to reflect on the powerful question:

“If Jesus were here and asked you what you want Him to do for you, what would you say?”

The results were extraordinary:

📣 1,764,459 people were reached with the Gospel
💬 12,642 engaged in spiritual conversations with digital missionaries
🙏 727 people gave their lives to Christ

Stories of Impact Across the Continent

Togo – From the Morgue to New Life

Raphaël Atefeimbou, a Togolese soldier, was mistakenly declared dead after a terrible accident and placed in a morgue. Two days later, he was found breathing but paralyzed in one arm. Desperate and disillusioned after trying traditional healers, Raphaël came across the Facebook campaign. Moved by the message of Jesus, he surrendered his life to Christ. His health has since improved, and he publicly renounced animism to fully follow Jesus.

Côte d’Ivoire – From Darkness to Peace

Thérèse was overwhelmed with sadness and confusion until a video in her feed sparked something deep inside. She reached out to a digital missionary, heard the Gospel, and gave her life to Jesus.

“Since that moment, a new peace has filled my heart. God has restored me from within. I am no longer the same,” she shared.

South Sudan – Salvation for the Whole Family

Mosab lost his parents at a young age and carried deep pain and hopelessness. During the campaign, he encountered the Gospel and responded. After giving his life to Christ, he shared the message with his siblings and they all made decisions for Jesus. Mosab now dreams of starting a fellowship group to help others find the hope he has found.

Rwanda – Multiplication Through Discipleship

This was the third campaign led by the Rwanda DS Team, but it marked a new chapter: it was fully led by volunteers who had been reached through a previous campaign.

In February 2024, Jackson Nshutiyimana gave his life to Christ after watching a Facebook ad. He then shared the Gospel with Christian, who reached Kevin, who shared it with Racheal. Today, all four are trained digital missionaries and were among the campaign leaders. Jackson is now serving as an intern with the Great Commission Movement of Rwanda and prayerfully considering full-time missionary work. What began as one Facebook ad has become a multiplying movement of disciples.

Burundi – A Gospel Fire Ignited

After encountering the campaign, Devotte Ndayikeza placed her faith in Jesus. Inspired to help others, she walked into the Campus Crusade for Christ Burundi office, eager to be trained. She received a Bible, joined the local campaign team, and immediately shared her faith with three people, one of whom accepted Christ. Devotte is now being discipled and is helping others grow in their faith.

Your Role in This Movement

These are just a few glimpses of what God is doing through digital missions. And they affirm one truth: digital campaigns are a powerful strategy to reach the unreached, ignite movements of discipleship, and bring the Gospel to every corner of Africa. Through digital outreach, we can go where feet cannot, speak where pulpits won’t reach, and disciple where churches have yet to be planted. We can bring the Gospel to youths, refugees, women, children and non believers right where they are.

We invite you to be part of this historic movement:

Pray – For every digital missionary and every person hearing the Gospel

Faire un don– Your support provides tools, training, and technology

Go Digital– Join the movement and become a digital missionary yourself

Give today and help us reach Africa online:
https://give.cru.org/1208680

Yours In Christ
Kelly Londoni
Digital Strategies Director, Africa

Dear Friends and Partners, We are living in a defining moment for the Gospel in Africa.
