Know Guinea

Guinea is a West African country with Conakry as its capital. It is rich in natural resources like bauxite, gold, and iron ore, and its economy relies mainly on mining and agriculture. The population is diverse, with French as the official language and many local languages spoken. Despite its resources, the country faces challenges such as poverty and infrastructure development.

A Reaching Guinea's Vulnerable and Digitally Connected

Guinea is nearly 90% Muslim — one of the highest proportions in West Africa — making traditional evangelism extraordinarily difficult. Cultural and religious resistance is deeply ingrained, and women in conservative households are almost entirely inaccessible to conventional outreach. The loophole is clear: the front door is closed. But the phone is always open.

The ADD strategy uses discreet, relationship-based digital discipleship in Pular and Malinké — the languages people think and dream in — to create safe pathways to faith. As one local Christian leader testified: “The truth came to me in my own language, on my own phone.”

Priority target groups:

  • Muslim-majority groups (Pular, Malinké) in all regions
  • Urban youth in Conakry and regional cities
  • Women and girls in conservative Muslim households

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” — John 1:5 NIV

Data-Driven Accountability

A digital dashboard tracks key metrics across all 15 channels in real time. Eswatini's small size and strong connectivity make national-level M&E particularly effective. Quarterly reviews drive continuous improvement, and ten short plus two documentary-style testimony videos are produced annually. The national CCC office provides oversight and alignment with national strategy.

Mariama Diallo
25 · Housewife, Labé · Women's Listening Fellowship Member
Mariama received a solar audio kit through a women's fellowship network in Labé. Her husband was away for work three weeks of every month, and she had never been permitted to attend any church or non-Muslim gathering. Alone in the evenings, she listened to Pular Bible stories — dramatised, with familiar voices and settings. "It was like someone telling stories at a family gathering," she says. "Only the stories were about love I had never been offered before." When a digital missionary made contact through a trusted intermediary, Mariama began asking questions over voice notes. After four months of patient correspondence, she placed her faith in Christ — quietly, privately, and with absolute certainty.
"Nobody came to my door. The truth came through my ear. I could hold it and turn it over and nobody knew but me and God." Mariama now listens to devotionals daily and prays for her husband.
