Cameroon is a country located in Central Africa, often referred to as “Africa in miniature” because of its diverse geography and cultures. It has landscapes ranging from beaches and rainforests to mountains and savannas. The capital city is Yaoundé, while Douala is the largest city and main economic hub. Cameroon is bilingual, with both English and French as official languages due to its colonial history. The country is known for its rich cultural heritage, music, and ethnic diversity, as well as natural attractions like Mount Cameroon, one of the highest peaks in Africa.

Reaching Cameroon's Unreached

While Cameroon has a Christian majority, the Muslim population in the North and Far North remains largely unreached — more than 6 million people, many with little to no access to the Gospel. The Fulani people stand at the centre of this challenge: cultural couriers and Islamic flame bearers of the Sahel region whose deeply entrenched community makes traditional evangelism difficult to penetrate.

The ADD strategy deploys technology to overcome geographical, linguistic, and social access barriers — empowering local, Fulani-background leaders to build a sustainable movement from within their own community. A breakthrough here will ripple across deserts and borders throughout the 10/40 window.

  • Muslim communities in North & Far North regions (6M+)
  • Children and youth in urban and peri-urban settings
  • Fulani refugee youth in displacement zones

Adamou Garba 23 · Fulani Nomadic Youth, Maroua · Digital Missionary in Training Adamou was raised to distrust outsiders and reject any non-Islamic teaching. His family moved three times a year following livestock grazing routes — no church, no school, and no stable internet. A solar-powered projector screening in his settlement showed a short film in Fulfulde about a young man's forgiveness of his father. "I had never heard a story like mine told in my language," he said. He took a WhatsApp number from a digital missionary. Over the following months, Adamou completed an audio Discovery Bible Study series through voice notes. He gave his life to Christ in month five — quietly, without ceremony, in a field outside Ngaoundéré.
"They spoke Fulfulde and they spoke truth. I never thought both could be in the same sentence." Today, Adamou facilitates a WhatsApp audio group for twelve other Fulani youth who are beginning their own journey.
