"A single bracelet does not jingle."
— Congolese ProverbThe Congo River Project is a Spirit-fuelled digital mission to ignite a sweeping spiritual movement among the youth and women of the Congo River Basin. By creating a dynamic ecosystem for evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development, we reach the generation that will shape Africa's future.
We build interactive communities, develop real-world skills, and deploy innovative platforms — from gamified discipleship apps to youth-led media studios in Kinshasa, Kigali, and Kampala — meeting a restless, online generation exactly where they live.
To see a generation of young people and women — empowered by the Gospel and digital tools — become transformative agents of spiritual, social, and economic renewal in their communities across the heart of Africa, through platforms like CongoStream, the Influencer Academy, and the Digital Bootcamp.

The Congo River Basin is home to some of the world's youngest populations, with a median age of just 17 in the DRC. While rich in resources, these nations are plagued by instability, poverty, and gender-based violence. Young people face staggering unemployment, and women bear the heaviest burdens of conflict with limited access to education.
Traditional church structures often struggle to engage this restless generation whose world is increasingly online. The digital divide is both challenge and opportunity — internet penetration is growing fast in urban centres, making it the primary source of connection for youth. The vastness of the region makes purely physical ministry impossible.
The challenge: harness the digital revolution to engage millions of young hearts with a Gospel that offers both eternal hope and practical purpose.
We move beyond content consumption to foster interactive communities and develop real-world skills — reaching youth and women where they already are.
Establishing digital studios in Kinshasa, Kigali, and Kampala, led by young people, producing hyper-local vlogs, music, and spoken word that integrates biblical truth into the creative culture of urban Central Africa.
Combining faith-based discipleship with practical digital skills training — graphic design, social media management, e-commerce — enabling women to generate income and become community influencers for the Gospel.
The Digital Bootcamp app uses badges, levels, and leaderboards to make spiritual growth engaging and rewarding for youth — turning Bible study into something the generation genuinely wants to finish.
Closed, secure digital communities for students in universities and secondary schools across the region — providing a safe, Gospel-centred space for exploration and growth amidst academic pressure.

From the CongoStream WebTV to the Influencer Academy — we harness the creativity and connectivity of a digital-native generation to build the Kingdom.

Goma · DR Congo
"She began to see her camera not just as a tool, but as a ministry. She gave her life to Christ and used her new skills to create a powerful short film about forgiveness."
In Goma, a city shadowed by volcanoes and violence, Béatrice saw her dreams of university evaporate when her father died. She resorted to selling peanuts on the street, her spirit hardening with each passing day. A friend dragged her to a Digital Bootcamp workshop at a local church, promising free computer time. There, Béatrice learned to edit video. She started filming the resilient women in her market, stitching together their stories of survival.
The workshop leader, a young female digital missionary, saw her talent and mentored her — subtly weaving in the story of the Woman at the Well. Béatrice was captivated. She gave her life to Christ and created a powerful short film about forgiveness, featuring a former militia member. The film went viral locally. Béatrice is now a sought-after content creator, using her art to heal her city's wounds — her life a testament to the God who redeems lost dreams.

Bujumbura · Burundi
"The anxiety didn't vanish, but it lost its power. He is now a calm and steady voice for dozens of other overwhelmed young achievers across East Africa."
Pascal was a top student in Bujumbura, but the pressure to succeed — to lift his entire family out of poverty — was crushing him. Anxiety was his constant companion. He followed a popular motivational page on Instagram that one day posted a video about "a peace that surpasses understanding." Intrigued, he clicked a link to a Discord server for young Christian professionals.
There he met Eric, a software developer from Kenya who became his online mentor. Through late-night voice chats, Eric guided Pascal through the book of Philippians. The concept of surrendering anxiety to Christ was revolutionary. Pascal didn't just find faith — he found a new framework for life. He is now a leader in the Discord community, moderating channels and sharing his journey, a calm voice for dozens of overwhelmed young achievers across East Africa.

The CongoStream platform will feature premium content subscriptions. The Influencer Academy will graduate creators who generate income through brand partnerships, a percentage of which is tithed back into the project. We will also develop a "Digital Tithe" system for employed believers to support the ministry electronically.
